LIVER TONIC! Celebrating The Beginning of the End of Hep C!

by Seer E.S. on 26/07/2017

Liver Tonic! Last Reminder!

In case you missed the news, our 2017 World Hepatitis Event ‘Liver Tonic!’ is happening THIS Friday (July 28th).

We’ve done a vast amount of work cooking this up and we’re sure the results will be very tasty. In total, seventeen of our most talented, charismatic, sometimes notorious musicians (and one comic) will be appearing – representing a world- renowned alternative scene which delivered the soundtrack to so many people’s lives at the precisely the time hepatitis C first appeared and began to spread in Melbourne.

We dearly hope you can make it, no matter how your life was touched by the virus – or if you just can’t resist the temptation of such an appetising show. On the face of it, this is an exercise in hep C awareness, but we’re hoping for something more: a real recognition of the extraordinary work done by workers in the field; an honest, heartfelt celebration of lives saved, of happiness and hope achieved in lifting the burden of disease; and a remembrance of those for who the new medications came too late.

You can buy tickets at the door, but we advise pre-booking at the Memo Music Hall site. (http:www.memomusichall.com.au/memo-gig/liver-tonic)

General admission is $15

If your organisation (or a group of your friends) want to reserve a table, we highly recommend booking ahead.

If you are a community member and would like to attend but can’t afford the $5.00, call Sam, Jane or Hunter at HRVic on 9329 1500.

We’d appreciate it too, if you help spread the good news.

On behalf of all the staff at Harm Reduction Victoria, we’d love to see you there.
